Detroiters Working For Environmental Justice - Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice has been active for nearly three decades and has played an integral role in Detroit’s environmental movement. We owe much to our founders and it’s important to recognize and honor them. Prior to our official creation, Detroit’s People of Color Environmental Justice Organization, formed in 1991, was the original group that established the work of environmental justice in Detroit.

Equality Michigan - EQMI is Michigan’s statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer political advocacy organization. Formerly the Triangle Foundation, EQMI has been Michigan’s premiere LGBTQ anti-violence and political advocacy organization for over 25 years and counting. This site’s primary goal is to connect victims of individual incidents of bias, discrimination, harassment, and violence, including intimate partner violence, to the support, referral, and navigational services they need to achieve justice.

Michigan Coalition for Human Rights - MCHR’s mission is to educate, organize and advocate on behalf of human rights. We oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and have re-committed ourselves to working for enduring peace in the world. Abayomi Azikiwe, MCHR Chair, sees a “renewed need for MCHR to focus on a recommitment to the democratic process.”

Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration - The Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration is a broad-based, statewide, non-partisan collaboration representing non-profit, faith-based, advocacy, grassroots, and service organizations united to end mass incarceration in Michigan. The Collaborative seeks to create and restore healthy communities.

Michigan United - Michigan United organizes to build the power our communities need to win the justice they deserve. We're working for an equitable and sustainable world that reflects our values of economic and racial justice. We believe each individual has the right to achieve their full human potential and to live in dignity. We believe our government and economy should provide for the common good and be accountable to all our communities, not just the powerful. We believe in our compassionate obligation toward our neighbors, and to support their struggles toward fulfillment and liberation.

New Detroit - New Detroit is a coalition of leaders working to achieve racial understanding and racial equity in Metropolitan Detroit. It brings together a coalition of leaders from civil rights & advocacy organizations, human services, health & community organizations, business, labor, foundations, education, and the media.

Detroit Justice Center - The Detroit Justice Center is a non-profit law firm working alongside communities to create economic opportunities, transform the justice system, and promote equitable and just cities.

Freedom House Detroit - Freedom House Detroit supports and empower asylum seekers on their journey to safety, security, and freedom by providing comprehensive services in an inclusive and welcoming space.

Detroit Dirt - Detroit Dirt is the leading model of organic waste recovery and reuse. We recycle resources to increase awareness and actions leading to a more sustainable community. Our mission is to create a zero-waste mindset throughout communities and drive forward a low-carbon economy. We process food waste, green waste, spent grains, and herbivore manures and make high-quality compost using an aerobic process.

LGBT Detroit - LGBT Detroit's mission is to increase awareness and support to Detroit's dynamic LGBTQ+ culture through education and advocacy with integrity and pride.
