Detroiters Working For Environmental Justice - Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice has been active for nearly three decades and has played an integral role in Detroit’s environmental movement. We owe much to our founders and it’s important to recognize and honor them. Prior to our official creation, Detroit’s People of Color Environmental Justice Organization, formed in 1991, was the original group that established the work of environmental justice in Detroit.

Equality Michigan - EQMI is Michigan’s statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer political advocacy organization. Formerly the Triangle Foundation, EQMI has been Michigan’s premiere LGBTQ anti-violence and political advocacy organization for over 25 years and counting. This site’s primary goal is to connect victims of individual incidents of bias, discrimination, harassment, and violence, including intimate partner violence, to the support, referral, and navigational services they need to achieve justice.

Michigan Coalition for Human Rights - MCHR’s mission is to educate, organize and advocate on behalf of human rights. We oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and have re-committed ourselves to working for enduring peace in the world. Abayomi Azikiwe, MCHR Chair, sees a “renewed need for MCHR to focus on a recommitment to the democratic process.”

Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration - The Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration is a broad-based, statewide, non-partisan collaboration representing non-profit, faith-based, advocacy, grassroots, and service organizations united to end mass incarceration in Michigan.
