I’m Young and Empowered - I'm Young And Empowered, Inc. is dedicated to supporting equal access to quality educational opportunities and enrichment activities for Las Vegas Valley youth from economically disadvantaged households and under-resourced communities. We do this by providing youth enrichment scholarships and supplemental aid in support of educational activities, as well as referrals to resources for parents, guardians and teachers.

Truth Be Told: A Social History Series
An event or mini-course in which hosts from acclaimed university professors lecture on race or racial related topics that are often left our of schools. With the dooming atmosphere of book banning and the attack on racially focused history, this event is a necessity for the well being of the community.

Women in Business Networking Event
A comfortable and friendly event in which professional women come to meet one another in order to connect and grow their businesses. An event where woman can utilize each other to create leads and possible mentors for young entrepreneurs.

Project Homeless Connect
Project Homeless Connect is an annual event that brings resources and services together under one roof to best serve those experiencing homelessness. Over 700 guests and 400 volunteers attend Milwaukee Project Homeless Connect for this one day event. Milwaukee has hosted this event since 2009, and Waukesha had its first event in 2019.

Changeist
Changeist is an out of school program that brings together 11-26 year olds to learn a common civic language, engage in dialogue, and build community to investigate local and global social justice issues. On Saturdays between January 6, 2024 and July, 6 2024 we focus on developing our sociopolitical knowledge and personal agency.

Take Action. Protect Pollinators
Join TCA and TRAC Saturday, October 28, to save pollinators, birds, mammals and amphibians at Trinity River Audubon Center. We’ll help restore prairie habitats on the Audubon Center campus to help wildlife thrive in the urban environment.

SECOND SATURDAY SHORELINE SPRUCE UP
Join For the Love of the Lake every second Saturday for our monthly Shoreline Spruce Up at White Rock Lake Park. Volunteers collect litter though out White Rock Lake Park, up White Rock Creek, and along the shoreline.

“Opioid Overdose Awareness and Prevention” WORKSHOP
This workshop aims to raise awareness about the dangers of opioid overdose and provide valuable information on prevention strategies. Through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the opioid crisis and learn practical ways to help prevent overdoses in their communities.
