Save the Bay - For more than half a century, Save The Bay has given San Francisco Bay a voice, mobilizing thousands of area residents to protect and restore the Bay for future generations. Its founders, senior leadership team, and board of directors are a dedicated group of people who fight to protect the Bay, the region's most important natural resource.
Ella Baker Center for Human Rights - The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights is named after a brilliant, Black hero of the civil rights Freedom Movement who inspired and guided emerging leaders. They build on her legacy by building the power of black, brown, and poor people to create solutions for one of the biggest drivers of injustice today: mass incarceration.
Oakland Housing Authority - Founded in 1938, the Oakland Housing Authority currently provides subsidized housing to nearly 16,500 families. The largest landlord in Oakland, OHA serves a diverse community in neighborhoods throughout the city. Their dedicated staff remains steadfast in its effort to gauge existing needs and provide meaningful opportunities for our families, in addition to expanding the availability of quality housing.
Hidden Genius Project - The Hidden Genius Project trains and mentors Black male youth in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills to transform their lives and communities. It offers an 8-week summer program for black male youth, ages 13–17, to get education, skills, mentorship, and experience in the tech industry, most specifically in software engineering, user experience design, and tech entrepreneurship.
Prospera - Prospera partners with Latina entrepreneurs to launch businesses that foster cooperation, economic independence and well-being in immigrant communities. Through their culturally-based programs, Latinas access the networks, tools and capital they need to become successful business owners and powerful community leaders.
Transgender Law Center - Transgender Law Center is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for a world in which all people are free to define themselves and their futures. Grounded in legal expertise and committed to racial justice, TLC employs a variety of community-driven strategies to keep transgender and gender nonconforming people alive, thriving, and fighting for liberation.
Creative Growth - Founded in 1974, Creative Growth is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California that advances the inclusion of artists with developmental disabilities in contemporary art by providing a professional studio environment and gallery representation.
Asian Health Services - Asian Health Services, founded in 1974, provides health, social, and advocacy services for all regardless of income, insurance status, immigration status, language, or culture. Its approach to wellbeing focuses on “whole patient health,” which is why they provide more than primary care services, including mental health, case management, nutrition, and dental care to more than 50,000 patients in English and 14 languages.
Refugee and Immigrant Transitions - Refugee & Immigrant Transitions, formerly Refugee Transitions, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit operating in the San Francisco Bay Area. RIT provides free education, family engagement, and community leadership programs. Its students have sought refuge due to war, violence, persecution, or economic duress.
