Regional Advocacy Training

Join Equality Texas and Trans Empowerment Coalition for our Advocacy Training on October 8th. The Texas 88th Legislative Session may have ended but it’s never to late to learn ways you can advocate for your community locally. This training will provide attendees with: – Update on the current state of LGBTQ+ equality in Texas and at the Texas Legislature; – Training and tips for providing testimony at the Capitol; – Training on how to meet with your lawmakers; – Ways to plug in to advocacy actions at the Capitol no matter where you live EQTX field organizer Gordy Carmona and TEC Director Stacey Monroe will be leading this training and anyone interested in learning how to get engaged is encouraged to attend.
