Beats + Ballots

Beats & Ballots is a dynamic community event that combines music, culture, and civic engagement. This event provides a platform for young people to come together, celebrate local talent, and engage in discussions around the importance of voting and participating in the democratic process. Attendees can enjoy live performances, learn about voter rights, and take action by registering to vote or pledging to become active participants in upcoming elections.

The ask for volunteers is to:
– Support on-site vote mobilization; including providing info + civic literacy flyers.
– Make signs that promote voting and exercising your rights; non partisan.
– Provide assistance with registration, parking logistics and event operations.

Voting community members with proof of a Voting Sticker will receive a free snow cone. There will be a bounce house for children. Multicultural music designed to appeal to all types will be playing throughout the event. Plus, there will be a raffle for voting community members with Voting Sticker, and available prizes include:

– Mavericks Ticket Giveaway (300 Level)
– $20 Gift Cards

Volunteers are asked to support early voting GOTV efforts. Whether for an hour or a full shift, the volunteer presence matters.

Shift Times:

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Volunteers are needed for set-up, registration, traffic flow, logistics, and curbside engagement.

Bring a sign + wear your voting sticker — the goal is to stop traffic curbside and encourage voters to pull in and exercise their right to vote!
